Introduction: Nice to Meet you!

My name is Clifford Mountan or CJ; I grew up in a small town called Ojai. I went to California State University Fullerton to study Business Administration with a concentration in Entertainment and Tourism Management. My young naïve self thought that I could bring 60’s and 70’s rock n roll back into the music industry. My goal going into college was to become a famous musician while giving myself the business vocabulary to not get taken advantage of.

Well, after my second year I took an internship at Paradise Artists. I was an office assistant that sorted contracts alphabetically, cleaned storage rooms, and did lots of lunch runs. What I learned that summer was one of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever received. I learned that different industries have different cultures attached to them, and the music industry did not mesh well with my culture.

I realized that I am a geek and proud of it!

After that summer I spent some time working for the Walt Disney Company as an Attractions host in Tomorrow Land. Before quitting to help my friends at Third Gate Studios as a marketing consultant for their Kickstarter campaign. I'll save the story of Third Gate Studios for another day.

Eventually, I found myself working for an Entrepreneur building a business around his YouTube Channel. I’ve helped him build this company as a Social Media Manager, a Content Coordinator, and currently a Producer. Since I joined the team we have uploaded over 700 videos across 3 different channels that have gained over 340 million views! I’ve been with this company for almost 2 years and much of my blog is based on this experience.
